If I can get my hands on a Chromebook, I think my favorite thing will be never having to deal with installing any programs!!!! And that I will never see something like this!!

A Netbook that doesn't feel like a Netbook.

I've played with a Acer Aspire One D260 with Windows 7 Starter. The Netbook is nice but having a full featured OS on top is too much for an Intel Atom.

Agreed, an Operating system that updates without worry would be nice.
I agree....what I would really love too would be nice photo handling features.
An extremely fast laptop... that's what wins me over.

Aviary has a mighty impressive collection of apps available on the Chrome Web Store. I would highly recommend checking out their Advanced Image Editor.

I'm excited about a lot of things -- today I enrolled in T-Mobile's "Mobile AP" feature that allows me to use my Galaxy S 4G as a Wi-Fi hotspot. Not only do I get to save the $70 on the Wi-Fi only Series 5, but I'll have access to 4G speeds rather than Verizon's 3G network.

The more research I gather, the more confident I become in functioning entirely via the cloud. I won't say I'm all the way there yet...but I can see it happening soon enough!
I'm excited about having a netbook that doesn't act slower than my desktop computer! Not having to worry about updates, installing programs, running out of space on my harddrive...yay!
Excited to try out the ChromeBook since it is suppose to be the ultimate thing for web browsing. I browse the web a lot so making my experience with that faster and problem-free sounds good to me.

Also excited to see how google will improve the chromebook, chromebook hacks, chromebook apps, and pretty much everything about it since it's all new.
I think the online cloud is what interests me the most!
I can see the unboxing of my new Chromebook when it arrives to be a total anticlimax.
Open box. log in. use chrome.

That's it. Simple.

This is not like normal tech purchases where there are all sorts of options to explore and fiddle with and learn about. It will just arrive and go to work. That is *precisely* what is awesome about these things.

Most of my daily work involves using various websites and apps through the chrome browser on Windows, so for the most part it will be business as usual. There will be some limitations to overcome that will need some experimenting, but I think I'm prepared for most of the fixable ones and resigned to those that can't be fixed yet.
I think I'll order mine gift wrapped just to add some drama! :D
